I was very interested when I saw it in FB then I googled it and saw $699. Yikes!!! It's a great concept. For me it would be nice to be able to control my darkglass pedals and the effects in the multi without tap dancing. But at that price I can buy a cheaper pedal switcher and dedicated effects.

Yeah, at first I thought I really wanted one, but then logic and reality kicked in, that price is crazy, for two of those you can have a Helix LT or a Headrush. I don't have individual bass pedals anyway, so that aspect is wasted. It is a really good product, but not for me!

1. It won't help me on bass as I simply don't use enough effects.
2. It's 2017. Can't we get an app instead of a computer program?

Other than that, it's perfect.

I'm glad they're doing a PC program and not a phone app. Editing complex patches on a phone is not fun. Maybe they could do some kind of simple phone app but I would never buy a pedal that can only be edited via phone.

I was excited about the GT-1 until I demoed it with a bass. It seemed very tuned for guitar and had a bunch of modeling that I wouldn't want. It looks like the MS-3 has the GT-1 effects engine, but they added bass-specific versions of some of the effects (T-Wah, Wah, Harmonizer, Octave, Overdrive/Distortion). For example, I tried out the T-Wah on the GT-1 and it really wasn't responding well to my bass. In the same store, I plugged my bass into a Roland Bass Micro-Cube and the built-in T-Wah effect reacted great and sounded good. I like that they also ripped out the GT-1's modeling for the MS-3. I am seriously considering getting this. I currently have 3 pedals (octave, overdrive, delay) and a Boss RC-1 looper. This could replace my current effects pedals, add extra effects, and allow for expansion in the future via the effects loops.

For real I don't even own a regular computer anymore. It's all iPads and smartphones at my house

All of the documentation can be found here Invalid Link Removed. The parameter list is funny because, when you open the PDF, it still has GT-1 in the title.

Ok, just found something I don't like.

You can move the digital effects around into any order you like. But the loops stay together as a block. So no matter what, you will always have pre loops fx -> 123 loops -> post loops fx. You cannot do something like effect -> loop -> effect -> loop -> effect. That changes things.

It would have been perfect for my needs if only it had individually movable -not glued together- STEREO loops-.
It's an extremely interesting product but sadly because of it, it can't work with my two Eventide H9

Can the Eventide's be bypassed with midi? Cause you could put one just after the switcher and use the midi out to bypass it (ie what a lot of Strymon users do who have ES5/ES8s - put them after the switcher and use MIDI to control/bypass them)

I'm interested. the 3 loops being glued together isn't a huge issue for me. since I've never been a huge fan of dirt effects in multi's I'd just throw 3 drive pedals in the loop and route stuff around them. the setup I'm tossing around in my head is Whammy (using ms-3 midi to control on/off) > ms-3 (with drives in the loops) > preamp/di > FOH/amp.

I really like the concept but Roland\Boss effects always leave me feeling generic, not bad because they are classic sounds just a bit too corporate for my tastes.

I find myself wishing Digitech or Zoom.......

So, uh, got one

Really easy to use and program. Currently just using the effects, nothing in the loops - I might pick up a bass overdrive or something but the in-built one sounds pretty good really.

Quite powerful too in terms of customisation and routing.

Ignoring the loops, and basing this purely on inbuilt effects, if you were to then ignore the B3n's amp and cab modelling, to make this apples to apples, how do the two compare?
