Boss pedals on pedaltrain...

Yo TB.

I keep wasting velcro on my boss pedals it just stay on there and I have been to lazy to figure out how to cope with the edges on the bottom.

So what do you guys do? Cut them off, fill the center, slab the velcro on top and just try to guess which is which? >.<

zip ties. you may need something underneath to span the gap, but that's it.

I had the same problem. You can rip off the rubber thing and it does the trick. It makes it a flat even surface.

I've had to rip off rubber pads on a bunch of effects. Do it, its totally worth it.

I figured out after I ripped a few labels off of Boss pedals to mind the gap.

Never had a problem since.

What I do, is I take the back plate off and switch it over. That way I leave the label on and I still can put it on my board

I tried that, and it seemed that it applied too much pressure to the circuit board. Did you have that problem?

Run some packing tape around the base. First adhesive side out, then adhesive side in (to keep the tape from sticking to valuable parts; the pedal chassis will hold the tape in place). Attach the velcro to the tape.

I ordered blank back plates from Roland Corp for my Boss Pedals without the rubber. They are backordered (4-6 wks), but I believe that were about $24 for 4. Call 323-890-3700 to order.

I just put a 6" strip of industrial velcro on the back and I've never had an issue. I guess I've never tried to remove the velcro though. I'd never put velcro on my first year silver screw BF-2, for example. But for most Boss pedals I consider them utilitarian items and the velcro is on for the life of the pedal, which should be forever.

Yea It feels snug, but The boards are strong. I have no fear of breaking the board at all.

I like the idea of turning the bottom plate over, never thought of that! I only have one Boss pedal, but I put the screws through the velcro to hold it on (did the same with my Korg PitchBlack).

I always just put thin velcro strips around the parameter of the base, basically around the label area. Seems to hold fine there unlike my Digitech though some may desire a more powerful grip.

I'm more concerned with finding a way to velcro my Pork Loin down. The feet are so tall and the screws are too long on their own as one or two would begin to press against the circuit board. Need to hunt down some shorter screws I guess.

There's at least one company out there that makes velcro specifically for Boss pedals....just can't recall who they are ATM.
