boss rc-20 vs digitech jam man. help!

i want both, but cant have both. which is better and why? pros and cons, ect ect. i know its subjective. i just want a looper like i have on my dl-4, i just love the dl-4's delays too much to use the looper. just a one shot, looping a riff type thing. sampling is a plus. help me decide how much money to blow. cheers

for one, im keeping my dl=4 for life ( or at least until it breaks, which they are notorious for doing). and 2, my guitarist bro has a headrush, not a big fan to be honest. and the jamman/rc-20 have the capability of sampling stuff, which is a gigantic added plus. and i have to wait to pay rent, otherwise i might snatch up that beauty...

Jamman does everything the RC20XL can do, but better. The only thing RC20XL has over it is reverse, imo.

thats nice to hear. although if i put a reverse delay or reverb after the jamman is should act essentially the same as a built in reversed loop, ya?

Not quite the same, as the reversed loop plays the entire loop backwards, rather than just a section of it.
Reverse is fun. It hasn't become a staple of my looping yet, but it's definitely fun to manipulate.

but i could just record a loop, let it go regular for a bar or two or whatever, then kick on the reverse delay. although thats playing the loop with delay in reverse, instead of just reversing the loop. hm..

I'd put the delay first, that way you have the option of only reversing certain loops.
