Has anyone tried this with the footswitch? How does the Stop/Tempo thing work? It seems like you'd have to set the tempo before starting the loop, and there's no way to compensate on the fly for over-eager drummers... please correct me if I'm wrong! I can't find the manual on the Boss site.

Hey, I haven't used it with a footswitch yet, but you might be interested in this: you can also use a switch to shift phrases. That's really cool and useful if you're going to play a prerecorded structured song!
Anyway, you're right, you can't set tempo on the fly. You can save a loop then change its tempo, but not on the fly. You have to tap it before if you are going to use the drum guide, or if loop quantize is needed.

P.S.: Anyone who bought/tried a RC-2, there were 4 preset phrases (from 8 to 11) on yours?

Anyone know how many overdubs/layers this can do on one loop?

Supposedly infinite, but since we're bassists, it gets muddy after about two depending on how low you're playing and your tone setup.

I like to use my High C string for higher register/melodies though.
