It's wrong

BXP Cirrus and Millenniums ACs have VFL pickups which are active so there's a battery for them and another battery for the preamp.

Never owned one of theses but I got a deal on it I think. It is the most beautifulest bass I ever seen and plays and sounds so dam good. The batteries had a expiration date of 2010. But not corroded at all and the electronics work perfect. This looks like it was never used its mint in every way. Question. Are they reliable? And how can I tell what year it is?

It would be very hard to pick a better bass. Please change those batteries. I love four string Peavey Cirrus basses because of that great midrange heavy tone, and the fact that they can be detuned without being floppy plus the two octave fingerboard means one can detune one or two whole steps and still have more range at the top than a traditional 20 fret fingerboard.
