Have no idea of what these sound like, but I have heard they are really pretty good. Built in tuner, simple controls 250w and 30 pounds. Sounds like a pretty good deal. 12 month interest free, 100% satisfaction guarantee = plan.. I am currently using a Acoustic B260 and at 100w it just doesn't have enough headroom to do our smaller acoustic shows. I think that the 250w and a regular combo is a good solution.
Anyone have any ideas as to how these sound with a fretless? This will be used in a non-support role for my Fretless Modulus bass. I am hoping that is sounds as good as it should per the description..

I'm sure you'll be happy with it.

I like your gambling spirit, buy the amp THEN ask how it sounds hehe. But a deal like that with a guarantee is pretty hard to pass up.

I bought my MarkBass amp after a brief play thru it, but at least I did play it a bit, like for a minute. Then went back 3 weeks later and bought the MIA P I tested the amp with hehe.

If you don't like it's sound, plug a Sansamp PBDDI in front of it and you'll be a happy chappy :)

You know, I live in between Chicago, IL and Milwaukee, WI.. 2 very large markets and I can't find a decent piece of bass equipment for anything!! Anything more than a Fender Squire or a SDR Ibanez and I am out of luck.. So I am always having to buy new gear to try it. Sometimes I like it, sometimes I don't. Also this leaves me with my Acoustic B260 that I have no need for and it was my other solution for my acoustic gigs...

I bought one of these back in January. The sound is pretty good, great for rehearsals and smaller gigs. I tried using it in a medium-sized club and had trouble hearing myself but that's expected. My friend has a BG250-115 and he says that's fine but for me the 112 wasn't present enough. It's very clean if you don't use the TubeDrive toneprint, almost too clean for my liking but some people like that. The EQ section is pretty clever, with each knob boosting at one frequency but cutting at another. I don't use the toneprints but they can be cool to play around with. It also works great with upright basses - I end up using it more for upright than for electric.

I just bought the same thing. Sounds amazing at home. I brought to one of the open mics I host, which was outside, and it certainly sounded good in that setting (playing country music with flats at moderate volume). I can tell that it'll have headroom for the small to medium size shows I play, where I DI anyway...plus, I can pick it up with my index finger.

Beaming toneprints in from a phone is some Star Trek sh*t, too...I love it.

the 112 version that I have is really very nice. I am glad I didn't spend the money on the other versions. All have the same amp at 250w and all have the same features. The single 12 is lighter than the others. No thought needed for this decision for me. IMHO, it works great for me and that is the most important thing.
