What are some really great bass chorus pedals? Im interested in boutique and rare stuff. no danelectro, boss, eh, etc. thanks!
im using a 1981 MXR Micro Chorus, which uses the very rare Reticon SAD512D chip, sounds amazing, but what would cover the bass octave a little better? please dont say mod my mxr
In a big fan of the Nectar Chorus, by ProTone Pedals. Dennis only made a handful of them before retiring them in March of this year, but they sounded awesome.
My favorite by far is the Iron Ether Polytope. Very well designed set of features for bass plus a really cool somewhat synthy chorus sound. I find it very unique, rich, and useable.
Analogman (Standard or Bi-Chorus, w/ or w/o deep switch). Curious, though: why does it have to be boutique or rare? Is there a particular sound you're after?
Strymon Ola....It replaced the T.C. Electronic Stereo Chorus + Pitch Modulator & Flanger on my board... It's not rare...but...
The Polytope and Sea Machine are both great choruses with very unique sounds (and very different from each other). I use the Polytope myself.
the Polytope sounds really nice. seems like a few to many controls for me somehow. is it hard to dial in a decent swampy, swirling chorus?
Ok ok I know it's not rare and not boutique, sorry, but I recently picked up a tc electronic corona chorus, and MAN am I happy with this thing! Keeps all the low end intact and is really versatile. Love love love. Sorry to jack the thread with common-ness lol!
Oddly enough the 2nd best chorus I've ever used was the 18v Danelectro Cool Cat (9v model is poo though) That said Analogman all the way Mini Chorus Clone with deep mod yum
