Why not run the delay through one half of the signal, rather than the whole thing?
And then, for the other half, pick up a Slow Gear clone (the Behringer one is like $20, IRRC).

Sample Chain:
Side A: Bass Big Muff>Bass Multichorus>DD-7
Side B: Micro Pog>Tech 21 XXL B >boss Ch-1 super chorus> Slow Gear
That way, you could fiddle with the DD-7 while having swashes of subterranean Slow Gear sound behind it. Maybe add in an AB/Y to bring it back to a mono signal?
I have the same mixer. I thought the light was blue?
BTW, I use it as a night light in my room.
