Double Bass Bow Quiver question

So I thought I’d ask a question that’s been plaguing me a while. How do you keep a bow quiver from flopping over the front of the bass when you lay it down (not when playing)?

I just got a new tailpiece and quiver for my LaScala, and I had to tie it to the strings instead of the tailpiece at the top. It flops over when it’s not in playing position.

So you've got the same basic design as mine. Two thongs on one side and you tie them to the tail piece.

On mine the thongs are long enough that I was able to cut one of them short, punch a hole at the other side of the bottom of the quiver, and use the extra piece of thong to tie that hole to the endpin collar (loosely). No more flopping.

I don't know what other people do.

If I'm doing a gig where I'm doubling, I'll usually bring a stand for the DB.

If I have to put it on the floor, I'll put the bow under the E string against the fingerboard. That way, it's somewhat protected and it doesn't matter if the quiver flops.

(Nice looking tailpiece, BTW.)
