Double Bass Bowing pattern

Red looks easier to me, and I'm almost always looking to make things easier when I've got the bow in my hand.

I would opt for the bowing in red, with the exception of the last note of the excerpt, which I would also play down.

Andy,

I prefer the black indications for the first measure because of the rest on the downbeat.

I like the red bowings for the rest of the excerpt. The retake for the first beat downbow of the second measure will be tricky but do-able.

I agree with Dbass926 that the last note should be played down bow.
