Brace Audio DWG1000

My Brace is in the mail, too.
Turns out I have a defective unit and it's gone back for warranty. Bummer. I found out that I couldn't get more than about 25 feet from the receiver without my signal cutting out intermittently. This was particularly apparent when moving around. I contacted Linda at Brace and she said she's gonna send me a new one right away. Hopefully, all goes well.
Despite the fact that I got a bum unit, I have to say I'm mighty pleased with the customer service. I got an almost instant reply and when I said that I might not be able to get my unit sent out for a couple of days, the response was, "That's OK, I'm going to send you out a new one today, anyway."
Fingers are crossed.

Mine is a Shure T4G, it is an older model i got off ebay, but it looses NO tone from my bass as compared w/ a good quality cable. And all cable inputs and outputs are 1/4".
Does anyone duct tape this wireless to their strap? I'm planning on doing so just to make sure it doesn't fall off at shows (I run around a lot and do a bunch of crazy stuff). Is the bump on the wireless the antennae? I just wanna make sure I don't cover the antennae in duct tape

I had my replacement unit in my hands within a week which is pretty good considering it had to come to Canada. Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to test it yet.

Never use duct tape - or even gaff tape - on anything for more than a few days. Long term, either the adhesive will harden and the tape will fall off (leaving the crystallized adhesive behind), or the adhesive will react to the surface it's on and turn to goo.
Use rubber bands, or buy/make a pouch and sew or rivet it to your strap.
I'm not familiar with Brace. If I wanted an instrument wireless, I'd audition Line 6 and Sennheiser (and the Brace). I'm not a Shure fan.

Nice idea! For this gig I put the peice of tape under the paper but of course let the tape stick onto the unit on the plastic clip
Product update:
I finally had a chance to try my replacement unit last night and, unfortunately, it had the same problems as the original. Very disappointed. I'm gonna have to strap it on someone else to see if the problem is me.

when they sent it back did they send the new version with the power supply? Mine works it's just I think it stops working when I'm jumping and moving around I'm not sure I'm sending mine back soon.
I didn't get a power supply with mine. I just emailed Laura at Brace.
I'm hoping that they've identified the problem and corrected it as I really want this thing to work. I wonder if others are having the same problem that you and I are.

I have a pair of the transmitters and the new receiver with the Brace Power Supply.
One of our guitarists also took delivery of the newest version with power supply last Thursday.
My pair has over 20 gigs on them now and has performed flawlessly.
It was her first ever wireless gig and she is never going back to cables, ordered a backup system this morning, peace of mind and for the second transmitter.
FOH engineer was impressed too by no glitches or drop outs and the price.
Both of us spent the better portion of "Highway Star", at an indoor gig, more than 100' from the receivers on Friday night. Not a single glitch.
I hope that Brace is able to get you sorted out with some "good" units as they are out there.
Oh and the "peeves" are twofold, cheesy clip on holder can come loose, and no 90 degree plugs for the output to the transmitter. Not everybody plays a Strat.

They need to fix that crappy clip I've wrapped a thin piece of paper and put duct tape over it tightly so it doesn't come loose. The new ones come with a velcro strap but I'm not sure how big of a help that actually is.
I had three of them in my live rig for a few weeks. I got them very shortly after Sweetwater started carrying them. They work fine, esp. for regular electric guitar, but they eat batteries like they are vermicious kenids (Willy Wonka reference). I ended up sending them back and returning to wired connections on stage. As for specifics of bass, at the time, I was a sound tech trying to clean up a bad room (bass gets muddy fast) and don't remember specifics of how good or bad the lower bass notes were carried.
FWIW, the new Sennheiser G3 units are said to go very low (around 30Hz) and have an onboard DSP EQ to boost lower fundamentals if needed. I have been considering a G3 unit and its similar IEM for just this reason.

I'm a new user of the Brace and love it. Can't hear any difference between using a George L cable and the Brace. Simple as all get out to use and affordable.
Hmmm.... Well, according to the engineering guy at Brace, I'm the only person having dropout problems, so I guess I'll have to strap the unit on someone else in order to determine whether it's my alien implants that are messing with the signal.
Picked up a small Sony camera belt mounted pouch at Walmart for the Brace transmitter. Fits perfectly and the loop/snap goes snugly around my strap. No more worry about the clip.
