Brace Audio DWG1000

you're always going to find musicians who hate wirelesses. i love them. i went with the x2's, but it's nice to see a little competition for them in the digital realm. haven't tried a brace audio wireless, but i'm down with wireless.

I have been a member here for a while and have read alot and learned alot. One thing i can tell you is that Jimmy M. knows his stuff. As far as the brace audio wireless, our lead guitar player bought one and the tone is great. They seem to eat batteries BAD. He can barely go 20 songs (2 sets) on a new set of energizers. My good old Shure sounds great and can go (3 )- 4 set gigs on one 9 volt.

I've had one for about a month now. So far, so good. Sounds just fine to me and the price is right. I'm using Sanyo Eneloop rechargeables and have no trouble getting 3 plus hours out of them. I haven't yet had a good chance to test it for distance, but am playing an outdoor gig tomorrow, so gonna give it a whirl.

What kind of shure is this. Everyone says to get shure but they never remember which one they had. And i've looked for them but they have all these crazy numbers after they're model and it just confuses the crap out of me

Yeah, we got about 10 songs done before the make-shift shelter we were playing under started dripping enough water to make us all nervous. We tried to sit it out, but the rain came non-stop and hard for 6 or 7 hours. Brutal.... On top of that, the tent we were supposed to sleep in had about half an inch of water in the bottom of it. Good times!

Sumtin's wrong with that unit. I get at least the spec ratings out of my Brace - 4 hours on the transmitter and 6 hours on the receiver (when it's on battery).

I bought the unit about 2 months ago and really love it. Play a 4 string fender zone through an amp bh420 or a polytone mini brute IV, depending on the gig.
First time out the batteries died in 2nd set. It was my newbyness with wireless that caused it as I had been testing the unit for a few days with the same no name alcaline batteries. Before the next gig I bought the recommended radio shack adapter for the receiver and some Pure rechargables for the transmitter. Worked flawlessly for the whole gig. I absolutely love the feeling of freedom from cables wrapped around my ankles. I have never owned another wireless unit, so I have nothing to compare, however I would recommend this unit.
I also used it for a guitar gig an it worked great.
Tonewise, on bass I don't notice any difference. On guitar it is a little brighter than the planet waves cable I normally use
I would be interested in a/b'ing a dwg-1000 & a line 6 g-30
Anybody using the g30 or 50?
