Guys remember... Better Call Saul!
I don't think it's going to work. The depth isn't there.

Guys remember... Better Call Saul!

Walt and Jesse talk later about Gus' reasoning for slashing Victor, and one of the reasons they figured was that Victor "flew too close to the sun"; I think it was all the reasons the Captain stated.
The DVD bonus features show all the different takes of that scene. Some more gory, others not so much. VG went with a medium version.
Oz was good for the first couple of seasons but lost me after that. Too phony. I know BB was pretty phony also, but not on the level of Oz.
"Vikings" is better than Oz.
I didn't even make it past the first episode of Vikings. To me it just felt like network programming. Oz had an endless supply of rich characters, plot twists and shifting alliances. The arian guy who gets kicked out of the brotherhood because he gets a gum transplant from black guy?
Anyone ever see "Metastatis"? It's on Netflix. I didn't know this existed, but it's a remake of Breaking Bad in Spanish with different actors apparently created by Vince Gilligan. It's weird. I'm a few minutes into the first episode and it's nearly a shot for shot remake with a guy doing a Walter White impression but in Spanish. His name is Walter Blanco. Spanish speaking people can watch the original with Spanish subtitles if they want to. This is bizarre.
Caramba...will have to let the espousa in on this. Sounds loco.
Meanwhile, I just finally got around to the 1st season of 24…KO'd all 24 epis in 5 daze. I tried this show back in the day, could not handle it on a week-to-week airing...so I bailed.
Anyway-
Got sucked in like I did with Breaking Bad on Netflix.
I'm thinking of jumping to the 2014 version of 24…good or bad idea?
There are like 60 something episodes, and the first 40 or so have descriptions of each episode. Going down the list and reading them is pretty interesting. Skyler is Cielo, Jesse is Jose, Hank is Henry, but Tuco is Tuco. I'm gonna jump around and watch a few episodes.I think I may have mentioned that somewhere here.
It IS bizarre. I think the Gilligan connection is that he gave them permission to remake it and may have had the ability to OK certain changes they had to do to make it fit. I watched pieces of a few episodes and it was easy to tell where they were in the BB timeline because it's so exact, yet different.
They use an old school bus instead of an RV. I guess RVs are a rarity in Colombia. And Gus's food joint is in a mall, not free standing.
I'd watch it if I could understand it. I still love the **** out of that show and am considering another binge watch.
The 1st season of 24 is bad-ass...a few of those "How in the Hell is he getting outta this one".The 2014 version stands on its own and I don't think you'll miss too much by jumping. I only saw the final season and the short 2014 season, so I don't know what's missed in between. I need to binge that one also.
...watching Tuco on Clear & Present Danger as we speak.Tight, tight tight.
I love Malcolm in the middle, will this tv show change my mind as Bryan Cranston only able to do funny guy?
