Breaking Bad

I can't see Mike going out of his way to avenge Gus. The only person at Mike has seemed to show any personal interest in, is Jesse, and even then he still plays a role of strictly business. He'll definitely play a part in season 5, I think it will be on Jesse's side. Mike has also never seemed to like Walt.

Wow. Ridiculous, unlikely, improbable. But still wow. The show could have ended on this note. But wait -- There's more!

If the show had ended tonight, I would have been completely satisfied with it, but I still can't wait for more.

I didn't realize tonights episode was the season finale. But after watching it, it seems like it could have been the SERIES finale. But no, they're planning another season. How the heck are they gonna keep this up?!

From what I understand, there were difficult negotiations between Sony Pictures (who produce Breaking Bad) and AMC to the point that they weren't sure there WOULD be a fifth season or if they'd have to shop for a new network to get one. Consequently, it's pretty clear that they wrote the season finale as if it COULD be the series ender.

That said, there's plenty of fodder left for the final season.

Clearly, Gus had to go for the show to continue. The whole arc of the character of Walter White is from meek, underappreciated and underpaid teacher and loving family man who puts up with crap from everyone to ruthless kingpin.

Throughout the show we've seen how much he relishes being the bad guy, having power and seeing people fear him. He has a big ego, a misguided sense of what it means to care for his family and a cold callousness about him that has only grown.

In this last episode he sent his elderly neighbor into his own house knowing that there might be men waiting to kill him. He brought a bomb into the pediatric ward of a hospital without thinking twice about it and he seemingly poisioned a child just to get Jesse back on his side.

Gus had to go so that Walt could rise up to become truly frightening. And I think next season he will. I can only guess that what really happened to Brock will come to light and that both Jesse and Mike will have reason to try and take down Walt.

And I have to imagine that Walt is killed by the end of the series. By what or whom I have no idea. But I have high hopes that the show finishes strong.

There have been a lot of great TV dramas and some have had high points significantly higher than Breaking Bad at its best. But in terms of being consistently good, tension filled television Breaking Bad is possibly the best show I've ever watched.

Jared, you have nailed it.

Yep, next season will definitely be interesting. Every season has brought in something new, which is cool. Probably the fifth will be the most interesting one, I'd guess DEA is going to play a big part. No idea what's going to happen, though. Maybe they'll move down to Mexico, to take over what the Cartel left behind.

This would make a great avatar.

As much as I like the show, I believe it was a perfect ending for the series. If they do continue it , I doubt they'll come up with as cool of an ending as this last one because it was awesome !

I finally got caught up with the series. Pretty good. They are doing another season? Is Mike going to make a comeback or something?

This is pretty good, at least the intro is... ahaha

Another season is in the works. I fully expect Mike to show up and stir something up, but who knows. There's definitely a few loose ties still floating around.
