Breaking in the squier.

I decided to make a video about the squier, so people can get an idea of how it sounds. on slap & pop my microphone kind of crapped out, but ohh well.

also sorry for being a terrible bass palyer I've only been playing for a year.

Nice chops dude. For only a year, you are doing well.

I have one advice for you though. Get a metronome. Don't be offended, but your timing is way off on the Awakening part. The key to play good bass is in the timing. Good timing is absolutely crucial. 99% of the bass playing you see on Youtube has the timing way the **** off. Ten years ago when I used to play drums, I noticed that very few of the bass players I played with had any sense of timing at all. Timing is the absolute necessity when it comes to a good bass playing.

This is not meant to put you down or anything, just an advice. I personally think that a every new bass should come with a metronome.

I have a metronome actually, and yea, I do realize that beat is one of if not the most important part of playing bass. I just wanted people to hear the bass, not some annoying beeping in the background.

ever tap your foot?

I learned how to tap my foot in rythm with a metronome to keep the time in orchestra. Admittedly I am alot rusty right now, but I fondly (not) remember those hour long music classes with nothing but a psychotic music teacher, a metronome and 14 kids tapping thier right foot in unison....

And for what it is worth, you are plenty good for only playing one year....
