75% of the times it is just the world of the written word as opposed to an in-person conversation. Can't read intent, but that could be heard. Other 25%, meet in back of the gym, it's high school again . I feel like a teenager using these "smilies" but helps to know the intent of the writing.

It drives me nuts having to spell out every little detail, when in person it would be a nonissue, sentences would be shorter & the conversation would just flow. People also like to grow some big ones from the safety of the computer screen, when they never would even think about doing it if the person was right in front of their face. It's good for a lot of things when used for appropriately, but a lot of the time becomes this: The Internet - Where people go to learn to hate their friends & also hate strangers they would most likely get a long with in person. Haha.

I've been to a lot of forums, I like interaction. For the most part, the audience here seems to be much more literate and considerate. I can tell by language and experiences that a lot of high caliber bass players come here to visit and share experiences. The punks with big mouths seem to vanish not too long after trashing someone...... I always try to tone my comments in the sense that I'm face to face with the person. Would I say that to their face? Courtesy goes a long way...

Slp, it's all good, I didn't have any issue with you or what you posted, some things got lost in translation between us but it never got stupid. You just stated your reasons why you don't use Markbass anymore, & like I said if I had that same experience as you I probably wouldn't either. I did the same by giving my opinion on the original post & why I stopped using Ampeg.
