Does the XLR phantom power switch control both inputs? And is 1/4" phantom power switch only for channel one just like the EDB-2 HE?

Eli, yes XLR Phantom is to both Inputs at 0v, 11v or 48v. You can also turn XLR off to reduce noise. So Stereo Condenser Mic's are possible.

Phantom to Jack in Ch.1 only at 11v to Tip or Ring.

Other Jack is Stereo In. Tip to Ch.2, Ring to Ch.1

Hi Eli yes rotary hpf's ( High Pass Filters - Range ) on the EDB-2 VAP are great for Acoustic Bass instruments. There's a small detail I will need to check about centre detents. In any case we went for heavy feel grease so knobs stay put and centre detents become virtually impossible to detect anyway. John of Headway

This sounds awesome! I'm definitely going to be emailing John about the trade-in program. My only critique is that I really wish they would make the FX-loop switchable between one/both channels. That way I could put a tuner in the FX loop and mute both channels. It would also be nice to have an EQ pedal on both channels for switching to arco.

We've managed to add a couple of last minute features to EDB-2 VAP, as on the file I will now attempt to upload.

Channel 1 Jack in now has TRS Ring connected to Ch.2, while retaining Phantom to Tip or Ring, which is changing to 10v.

Also we have added an extra 3 Way Input Impedance Switch to Ch1. Jack In to enable Impedance switching separately on either Tip or Ring. The switches are placed bottom left on the top of the unit. Apologies if the text is not very clear.

We are also just now adding another 3 way slider switch to give the option of 5v or 10v Phantom to Ch.1 TRS Jack IN on Tip or Ring, so it's not the final version either. It makes it compatible with some other Electret Condenser Mic's in popular use. John of Headway

Thank you for putting so much thought into this. It sounds like it's going to be great. Do you think you could add a blender attachment too? I sometimes like to take smoothies to gigs....

Great idea Eli, I was veering towards a cheese board. Just watch out with the more acidic drinks. Cider, wine and Coke ( other colas are available) will dissolve the metals inside much faster than stomach linings.

Hi Kristian, thanks for the interest.

Current ETA has shifted back to April, as we have added 3 features. Separate Impedance switching on Ch. Jack In on tip and Ring. An extra Phantom voltage option on Ch.1 Jack In at 5v and the ability to mix into 2 channels from Ch.1 Jack TRS IN socket while using Phantom to that Input. It's all customer led and should cover all M.I Pickup and Mic products we know of on the market.

We are also making progress on new tech mini uni-direction Mic's with goosenecks and with anti feedback strategies, as well as 3 way modular active blender systems. I hope this helps. John of Headway

I think this the challenge for any preamp designer… I put a tube into my signal path and it was an “aha” moment. Absolutely makes everything better. The caveat being what I want to hear may be different than what you want to hear.
It’s people like Mark and John that make our lives so much easier playing and amplifying this stupid, clumsy, glorious instrument.

Sushi Box Slampegg, it’s a stomp box version of a B-15/B-25. Definitely not MBOL but I really dig it, very three dimensional. I run it into an old Fishman Dual Parametric as the DI on my fly rig or into a Clarus SL. Pickup is a Realist.
