bridge for ibanez

I've been having some issues with my bridge recently from it breaking E strings and it's just looking ugly from the paint chipping and peeling. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement that doesn't need body modification since it fits recessed in the body?

I contacted Rich from ibanez rules(super fast response time too) and since its a 96 its too old to look up

You can take a small file to the notch in your E bridge saddle--it probably has a high spot that's digging-in to the string.
Or just wrap some 320 grit wet/dry sandpaper around a bamboo skewer from the grocery store, since it's the E.

Well I'd much rather find a replacement because like I said before, the finish is chipping off and I'd like it looking as good as it sounds

I believe you have an Ibanez Accu-Cast B-IV on your SR1300.

It looks like they are using the same bridge in gold, on the MC30TH reissue bass, which may still be in production. Check out this link. There's a closeup shot under Features on the lower left side of the page.

Some of the stuff I found also said your bridge is very similiar to a Gotoh 206.

The B20 won't fit, the re-issue is different, and the Gotoh 206 is a replacement for the omni-adjust. Why did Ibanez make these things so hard to replace.

The Musician reissue was never used on a Soundgear, the poster who suggested it was mistaken. The three bridges that were used on most Soundgears were the Omni-Adjust, B-20, and B-IV. You've already narrowed it down to the B-IV, so here's a pic:

You could always get your re-finished.
Any decent chrome shop (usually car and cycle parts, but they'll do anything) will have a wide selection of finish options, from chrome to nickel to gold and even powder coat.
Fix the saddle first, remove all screws and springs, then take it in for a quote.
