Bright, aggressive strings?

Can anyone recommend some nice aggressive sounding, brighter strings? Preferably ones that still last a while.

dr steel lo-riders are freakishly aggressive and bright for the first several weeks you have them on. Then they are maintain their aggresivness, but lose some brightness. I love their fingerstyle sound when they get old though.

Like the tone...They just had a breakage problem for me.

Never broke a Blue Steel. Never tried a Roto either. Are they brighter than the Blue Steels?

Not better or worse...
Rotos have a certain "feel" and presence that I don't quite get from other SS rounds....

Bright and aggressive that lasts a while means Rotos. Ernie Balls Slinkies are aggressive and cost a fraction of the price but don't last very long.

Wipe Rotos down after every use with a little Zippo lighter fluid...I think they last as long or longer than the others...IMHO...
Just keep them clean.

Do you happen to know how they are tension wise compared to the Blue Steels? I have a 74' 4001 and I haven't ever had any neck problems and I never really worried about string tension, but the old "Tail lift" thing is a consideration.

I change my Rotos every 2 months...I play A LOT!
Probably 40 or more hours a week on them!

They seem very similar to me...
Rotos might be a little less to my feel...hard to say.

(edit) I've used rotos for over 30 years...might be biased in my opinion on this!

Which set is more aggressive? The trubass or the swing bass? I only have those to choose from because they are the only 6 string sets they make that I've seen.
