Bright & Long Lasting...

Recently come back to bass after a 6 year lay off and would really like to check out pressure wounds as an alternative to round wounds that my new jazz bass came with. Slap, tapping and mid range punch. Any views on pros and cons?

it's not the brightest string, so not the most relevant to this thread. They're well liked on this forum, and I can see why.

Pros:
They are way less rough than typical roundwounds. They feel great. To my hands they still feel like a roundwound. To my ears, they sound more like rounds than flats (the audience won't know/care in any case).

Cons:
idk. Like any string, it responds differently depending on the bass. Loved it on one bass, disappointed on another. Idk if this is a con or just something true about any set.
