Brightest Nickel Rounds

I like Sunbeams a lot, but I certainly wouldn't call them bright.
They're on my fretless Sabre right now and sound great, but they're definitely on the warmer side.
If the SIT Powerwounds feel at all like the Rock Brights, it's unlikely I'd be happy with them. I really liked how the rock brights sounded, but they felt too much like SS strings to me - slightly rough on the fingers and a little too much tension for my tastes.
There are still quite a few more contestants on deck for this experiment. I just don't move fast 'cause I don't replace a set of strings until they're well and truly dead. Sorry, guys!
I have not used the Rock Brights, but I know for a fact they are brighter than the following nickel strings:
Blue Steel
Rotosound
Sunbeams
LoRiders
The closest I've tried are D'Addario and Circle K.

I have fatbeams on a new Roscoe I just got and it feels too harsh under my fingers. I'm looking for something smooth feeling but very bright (to counter the roscoe barts + bart preamp combo that is naturally a little dark)
Was going to get sunbeams, but now I'm thinking that may not be my best option.

As nickel strings that are not overly bright. Boomers are the least bright by far. Still haven't found anything in nickel for my 4401 with the bite and snap of SIT PowerWounds.
Me, too! I've been tempted to order a set of DR Sunbeams or SIT's or ???, though, thanks to TB.
DR Sunbeams. Nice and bright without any of the brittleness that you sometimes find in SS strings.
unfortunately I can't use D'Adds on my Roscoe (unless I special order them in bulk, which I'm not about to do for a string that I don't know if I'll like)
I like (and use) both Sunbeams and SIT Powerwounds.
As said here a few times, Sunbeams are not bright. They are very mellow on the top end with nice mids.
SIT Powerwounds are very bright, and more brittle sounding than Sunbeams.
A good cross between the two are Fodera nickels.
I've got Dean Markley NickelSteels on right now and they started very bright. They lost some of it
, bug still have a little of a bright character when digging in some. They mellow out nice if I play lite.

I put some fat beams on my new Roscoe and hated the way they sound. Way too zingy and metallic for that bass. So I'll probably just throw those on my jazz bass, keep the b-string as a spare, and try some sunbeams.

Why can't you use D'Addario on the Roscoe? Roscoe ships them with D'Addario strings on them.
