Brightest smoothest rounds?

I find D'Addarios XLs commonly on basses for sale. I can't stand them! The NYXLs would definitely need to be better! For me, anyway.
The regular XLs are good strings, but they die within three months for me. They would probably die even sooner if I were regularly gigging. The NYXLs last twice as long for me and they feel and sound nicer than the regular XLs.

I would try a set and see if you like them. It can't hurt.
