I was doing a performance in a class room when the teacher tripped over my stand up and it feel face first onto the bridge. Now the surrounding wood, and the wood under the bridge is concaved. The strings are now obstructed by the neck and the body is cracked where the F holes start. In essence my bass is unplayable and I have no idea if it is even fixable... wood is not exactly malleable. Please help!

Double Bass Broke a bass, Beyond repair?

What kind of Bass is it? Is it worth repairing? I have seen some amazing repair work from some exceptional luthiers, But the cost of repairing damage like that may be more than the cost of the instrument itself.

Sounds like you may need a new top but it would be best to show it to a bass luthier for a professional diagnosis.

everything can be repaired or replaced on a bass, only things like cost and time are factors youll have to determine if its worth putting in
