Dropped my double bass at the weekend and the neck is now starting to pull away from the body
It has only moved slightly, but enough to make the action a lot higher and it creaks when I play it, so I'm now worried that it will get worse.
A friend told me that a cheap repair would be to drill through the shoulder at the bottom of the neck and screw it onto the body. Sounds like that might do the job, but the neck was already starting to bend slightly at the top (before I dropped it), and I'm wondering if a new neck would be the best thing?
