Picked up body... added 3-ply pg... bridge is next! (Looking to get a white, or aged white pearloid pg...)
... and strings... neck relief & string height & intonation perfect!
Decided to install orig. pu, whilst waiting for the Nordy, actually sounds pretty good! 
Looks good. The original pickups in those I've tried sound OK - just a bit different.
5 mins. with a Dremel... Nordy installed... good to go!!

Thx... tone is a bit ‘woody’- more of a ‘51 tone (which makes sense- as the pu is a ‘51)... I already have a Mustang- so was looking for something a bit different!
That looks great, I have a Musicmaster body, Bronco neck, knobs, tuners, need to decide on the new color, the bridge and pickup.

I have the ‘original’ Bronco bridge- if ur interested... also have the (loaded) pickguard (pu, etc.)

I have the Bronco bridge, but I do need a neckplate, need to measure to see if that will work on the Musicmaster body. Can you measure the distance of the holes on that for me please?
The bodies of the Musicmaster and the Bronco I have are almost identical but the Bronco body has some dents I'd need to fix where the MM body would just need some sanding to be ready for a repaint. That's why I'm leaning toward using that one.

I've only done one parts bass so far. But it was ridiculously fun. I'm seriously considering selling down my gear and starting a parts collection. Need a fretless? Swap necks. Need a fatter neck on this J body? Snag one off of the parts P. I would love to have bodies and necks just hanging around all over the place. Nutn to do Saturday morning? Let's make a bass!
