We have to see how it will play out I guess. It could be awful, it could be them pulling our leg. The comic book is awesome though and I'm not even a huge fan of comic books.

Oh we have known a lot of these things for awhile. What remains to be seen is how are all these most recent developments going to affect the show and franchise. Remember, if they start this other show and it becomes more successful, it could hamper the future of the one we know and love. It's all speculation of course but Hasbro proves to be very unpredictable.

I always keep in mind that we are not the primary demographic for this/these shows.

That being said, I'm expecting a shift over to a more stereotypical "Little Girls Show" as Lauren Faust's initial plans fade into the distance. We'll see though, I've been surprised before.

A silver lining to that is that comic was actually made for our demographic!
I mean the show eventually has to evolve but the comic has had a fairly successful start and we all know how long those run for ;)

The cool thing about my comic book store is that being pretty much the only Brony that goes there, I get all the different covers that come into the store.

I am not really worried about this whole Equestria Girls thing. At best, it will be a fun spinoff in the vein of Daria, and at worst, I won't watch it. It's not like it it will have any effect on the mane show.


I am far more worried about what will happen tomorrow at 10:30EST, because that has the potential to be a major shark jump moment. After three weeks and hearing arguments from both sides, I still am kinda negative to Twilicorn. Does that mean the show will suck? No. At this point, we don't even know if her change is permanent. However, when I watch S4 and the finale, it will be with zero expectations of greatness.

One thing is pretty much for sure. The Faust era is fading into the rearview mirror and fast.
