Ah. Decided against going with the Broughton Line Selector.
I always setup my 1st gen how I liked it and then used the gain to push tube preamps that were normally clean (SVP-CL, SSDI, SS pedal) into nice grit and breakup, that gain works really well for that, easy to turn off and on as well. Having the two mid shelves are nice as well, you can really stand up the mids with it, that and it's one of the cleanest preamps I've played through. Hold on to it!Well after finally receiving my first Broughton pedal and getting to play it live this past week I can say I really like the ability to fine tune my bass tone. It is a really nice preamp to feed my Khan Tube DI. View attachment 4110451
Shuttin' 'er down for 2020 boys. Thanks for the giggles. Happy New Year, and may 2021 be the year of full shopping carts, uncrushed dreams, and copious amounts of crispy bacon.
Having said that, if it's even marginally less weird than 2020 I'll take it...
I have an ETDI coming! About to build my first bass pedalboard. Just ordered a Cioks 4 as well. Chain will be...
Super Stack>RFE>ETDI
May put a turbo tuner on their in the future... for now I’m fine with a clip on.
Any recommendations for a small pedalboard / anyone looking to unload one? The Pedaltrain nano seems like the best choice, put just seeing if anyone has any other recommendations...
And lastly, Happy New Years everyone!
Then why are you already trying to trade it towards a Noble? You've already owned multiple Nobles...I even sold you one and you immediately listed and sold within the first hour you received it from me. Now, you're on the hunt for at least your 3rd Noble? And how many Starlighters have you owned now? 4-5 at least? You should try a SSDI and end it all there...I guess with whatever compressor you want in front of it.Well after finally receiving my first Broughton pedal and getting to play it live this past week I can say I really like the ability to fine tune my bass tone. We should get Broughton Decoder Rings.Happy New Year gang.
We should get Broughton Decoder Rings.
I put my ETDI near the beginning of the chain, it gets a bit noisy when it's near the end. I got a Metro 16 and like it, not too small not too big.
That concerns me, I’m wanting to primarily use it for the DI and need it at the end of chain. Hopefully it’s not noisy with just a couple pedals in front of it. I also got the V1 which I believe doesn’t have the ground switch...
I never had one myself but that does sound familiarI might be mistaken, but if I recall correctly, people were getting noise from the ETDI in the past because of the proximity to certain power supplies.
Can someone chime in and fact check me? Im old now.
Yes, there was something about putting it just above or next to power supplies. Never had a problem with mine and I used it at the end of the chain after many pedals.I might be mistaken, but if I recall correctly, people were getting noise from the ETDI in the past because of the proximity to certain power supplies.
