My F5 key is primed for Fliptop Friday!![]()
I see Bank of Montreal (symbol: MJO) stock is down 43% as of this hour. What's going on? Oh....FT drop tomorrow!!
I have some of those and I never think to throw them on. I think we have an old Gibson in our studio with tapes on it.... I'll have to throw them on and check them outSounds great so far, maybe I get some clips with the boost and P15. Oddly smooth , ultra highs are gone but high definition still there. Definitely thumpy like an upright, AMAZING strings for SVD and octaves, really cleans up the nasties that mess with tracking and harmonics. So far, I likeView attachment 4163763
Its a first for me, I about used some flats, which its also been since 97 on a stand-up since I played with those lolI have some of those and I never think to throw them on. I think we have an old Gibson in our studio with tapes on it.... I'll have to throw them on and check them out![]()
Nice. SB-2’s rawk. I used to have a Honeyburst/ebony fretless from around ‘96 and also a later 6 bolt fretted. I wish I had tried tapes on them when I had them. I wish I still had the fretless. It just might’ve been one of the best looking basses I’ve ever had. And I’ve had a few.Sounds great so far, maybe I get some clips with the boost and P15. Yes, I passed up a Lakland and Fender back when I got it, I was looking for those "types" of basses and it won, was cheaper too. Very nice neck, powerful, passive, 2 volumes and that's it - simple. I've thought about adding a tone but just never got around to it, I can get anything from rock to vintage P. Still learning the PU and pole adjustments, these new strings can probably sound even better after I set it up a bit, I want this one to have real low action, I think the strings will help keep out the buzzy nasties. And yes, they are beautiful, the binding and cream guard were a nice touchNice. SB-2’s rawk. I used to have a Honeyburst/ebony fretless from around ‘96 and also a later 6 bolt fretted. The fretboards always seem to be very rich (as in a real nice pow) and quite thick.Yes, I passed up a Lakland and Fender back when I got it, I was looking for those "types" of basses and it won, was cheaper too. I need more passive P Basses to put different types of strings on.Sounds great so far, maybe I get some clips with the boost and P15. The neck tilt is nice for dialing down the actionYes, I passed up a Lakland and Fender back when I got it, I was looking for those "types" of basses and it won, was cheaper too. Yes please.
The SB-2’s had the neck tilt up until about 2005/6 and we’re one of the last G&L models to hang on to this feature. A lot of models started phasing it out around ‘97. I prefer the 6 bolt necks personally. The neck tilt is nice for dialing down the action
I sold the faded blue Jean one and then suckered myself into this one. I’m not disappointed in myself at all. Nope.Yes please.
