Yes, it will, both high and low pass help. This is the entire concept behind the fxloop, if you have a choice put a LPF after and HPF before the effect. If clean w/o the dirt on, with another EQ downstream, you would hear it being over EQed, but with the dirt on, all it will do is improve the quality of the dirt, there is EQ but you don't hear it. I have dirt circuits, both in fxloops, some other pedals and then RFE/Messenger. Running it never sounded better, and a comp at the end helps with hot peaksI’m not over EQing, just annoyed at a fuzz pedal that is overloading from my hot bass
