I now find myself never turning on a preamp pedal. Am I doing it wrong?

Same here. I disengage my Space Heater when I use Ampeg PF-20T amp...

On a somewhat related note (related due to tubes). I purchased an Ampeg PF50T a few months ago. Love the amp, but it presents a new problem. I had built my pedalboard around preamp pedals (Fliptop, SV-Pre, QuickSilver, Ictineo). I now find myself never turning on a preamp pedal. Am I doing it wrong?

If you feel the need to get rid of the 'ol paperweights fliptop or quicksilver, I can help

Yes. There’s no reason not to use the QS in front of the PF. I flipped mine for a YBA100. But I set the amp for clean (dimed master, gain to taste) and the set the QS for my o/d dirts.

I would have liked to try it, but I also just got the Fantasm so I'll be ok, I have plenty to mess around with.

But also, dibs on any that don't gel with it, I'd still like to give it a shot!

Edited my original post. I typed QuickSilver instead of Silver Deluxe. Was daydreaming about having a QS apparently (yes I still want one).

I have to admit that I feel rather annoyed.
This game costs way too much time and therefore money for very limited results on the long run. I don't think it is worth it to me any more. Especially when considerung that being intl. adds shipping and about 25% additional charges.
So I'll buy when in stock or when fortuna smiles upon me, but that's it.

AVB accepts 9v - 12v. Is there any difference in performance such as more headroom between them?
