So what does vintage SVT mean? Is this going to be a mini P15? I need more details!
im thinking either a “lengthwise” P15 or maybe truly an SVT pre…kind of like the edti pedal vs mains ? Maybe this will be a “mains” SV pre…yeah that sounds plausible

B-15 != SVT
Since it's got real tubes, it seems like it would be like the P15 in terms of form factor, but geared around the SVT sound.
Outdoor jazz set with a singer and guitarist, 100% pizz. Fishman full circle > rfe (10 MΩ) > tuner > di to foh, through to qsc K10 on stage. One spot + daisy chain. Hpf ended up around 80. Lil baby 1-2dB mid boost for pitch definition.
For most of my double bass gigs, the plastic fdeck 2 is a better tool, and I missed mine four times this weekend... But this is an acceptable backup, better for a pedalboard setup, and I have it on good authority that more knobs = moar toanz.

Initial thoughts on the Subsonic vs the Octatron:
Right now I don't have a clear cut winner since it's only a few hours in and I just fiddled with it quickly. I'll see after Sunday's rehearsal for a gig.
- Tracking is pretty much the same on both. Definitely not disappointing - couldn't go wrong with either.
- I still hate the Subsonic's soft button. The Octatron is not. Win there.
- For the apples:apples comparison (no Oct 2), they are different but different flavors of the same coin. Clearly both have OC-2 DNA. They both do the glitchy thing when hitting a low E and sustaining it. The Subsonic is slightly more "synthy" and striving to be more of that OC-2 clone whereas the Octatron isn't going to be a 100% emulation.
The Subsonic seems a bit more open and has some of what the Sub knob on the Octatron does. I can dial in a sound very close to the Subsonic on the Octatron.
- With Oct 2 and the controllable sub/EQ, it's a bit more "versatile" than the Subsonic. Again, not better or worse, just different.
- Not the biggest fan of where Seamoon put the AC jack. I do wish they had put it on the top.

Just put the Scorpion back on my board because I've decided that I'm not super into big muff style fuzz (change my mind?). My calamity just doesn't cut through the mix very well.
I forgot how nasty this thing gets. I'm surprised they're floating around out there for sub $130.

It is crazy. Don’t get it. Have expressed this. Nothing wrong with the Scorpion. Buncha stuff right with it. Truly ponderous.
