Broughton Audio Super Thread

A good friend of mine passed and his wife gave me a tasting set of Glenmorangie. I tried all varieties and determined that I just don't like Scotch.

I agree. Never found a scotch that I actually enjoy drinking. Fortunately they make bourbon for those of us who are blessed with not liking scotch.
If I can, a recommendation for the people who haven't found a scotch that speaks to them yet:

Oh, I have had that and enjoyed it.

Years back my wife and I were in a pub in London, primrose park area. I went to the bar and got a pint and asked for a pour of their least peaty Scotch. The bartender replied, "well what you want is an Irish" to which I agreed.

Exactly. It is triple distilled like an Irish whiskey and dangerously smooth. I've had bottles of it disappear.

Scotch is an acquired taste; it’s like swallowing a wool sock right out of the dryer. FWIW, if you do a shot of Belvedere or Grey Goose and lick a wet dog, it’s nearly indistinguishable from doing a shot of Scotch.

Ima put it next to the Night Owl. Very interested in that A/B.
Nice! I am also interested in that combo as well and an jealous of the toys in your sandbox tonight. Almost bought an Edison but missed it by that much. The Hageman has interested me for a while as well but now they/you have the new one that doesn't have the loop over the tube, has drive (vroom vroom), and can be worn as a warm hat with the proper straps and padding.

I think this old Edison that I saw earlier today on 'Verb could also be used as a hat. Or a suppository.
