Broughton Messenger v2 Alternative?

Messenger jr is great, it’s a lot of functionality in a really compact package.
It’s clean but I wouldn’t call it sterile.
It obviously loses a bit of functionality from its bigger brothers but it’s smaller so thats the trade off.
it definitely still gets the job done, I love the h/l pass filters combined with the eq section, and it’s got a ton of clean gain.
I have a v1 and a jr, haven’t compared to a v2 but I’m pretty confident in saying they all 3 sound basically the same with just the footprint and functionality changing between them.

Bumping this thread - how have you found the Messenger Jr? I would love to pick one up and am wondering how you found the sterility/voicing of it?
I have a messenger JR. It's a prefect compliment to whatever is on your pedalboard pairs well with other preamps also has a very clean transparent tone doesn't color your tone just enhances it. HPF/LPF Plus DI all in a 125b enclosure what's not love.

No i think that’s it
V1 has 2 bands of mids eq and separate output levels for the 1/4” and xlr outs… the aux in and headphones out are unique to the messenger di.

Yeah the V1 Messenger with the two mid bands would be my perfect item but I get that those are not being made anymore, so to acquire one I would have to be very patient and pay a heftier sum on the used market.
