I totally agree. For me it was the best performance of the night.

However if Sir Paul had picked up a bass, he would have been my favorite by default! lol.

Exactly what I was thinking. At first, with all the dancin', it looked like he was just air bassing it, but then, as I spent more time watching his fingers, it was him playing.

I'm extremely jealous right now...

Sorry to revive an old topic, especially for a 1st post...

But I have watched several "live" performances of this song, since I really dig it, but I am skeptical anymore of bands playing live, because let's face it, it's rare that they do "play".

after watching several live vids of this song, to me, they all sound identical, and I can't see anyone hopping around like that, and not missing a note.

Another example...anyone watch the Lions game on Thanksgiving? Kid Rock was the half time show....and that's all it was...A SHOW!!! It was all a recording. i heard drum beats, when the drummer wasn't changing. How can you strive to want to play for a living, then just pretend on stage?

Anyway....that's my rant, and Im sticking to it..LOL

All Bruno's live versions are better than the recordings/studio IMHO.
Don't know about the whole tracks vs. live thing, but they sure look live to me. I'ev listened to some not award show clips on You Tube and they haven't been perfect so…
Makes me want to give up my fancy active 5 string and try a P bass real bad!

If you haven't seen a muscian play and dance then I would suggest that you pull up Jermaine Jackson of the then Jackson 5 and damn'er just about every funk band of the 70's.
