Guess what, Colorado Case closed up shop three months ago. Best bet is to find a local instrument case/bag maker near you. Mine cost me $275.

That's a shame. They were really sweet people when we visited back in 2002/2003. Blue Herron makes very similar cases out in Cali, and of course there is always Reunion Blues. But I may give a look at the guys down here in Brazil. Thanks for the update.
As probably mentioned, the case that comes with The BSX Is kind of a loose fit. What would be cool would be a form fitting carbon fiber case. Otherwise for travel use the golf case with the neck off.
Doesn't really work for me here in Brazil since the airlines don't have the same approach to golf clubs here. It's more expensive to travel with them. So GC Case is out. I did find another SKB that is for Archery that seems it will fit...but I have to get back to the states to find it at a reasonable price. It's about 300% as much here in brazil. Why am I here again?
I'm talking to the folks (David) at Messina Covers now. They have made a bag for a BSX Allegro before, and David is looking for a picture to send me. Their price is $395 plus shipping and you pick the color. I'm thinking about it......

Messina makes great bags. I've had one since 2004 and it's still in great shape. I wish he'd use a liner behind the zipper, maybe he's changed that by now, but it cause a problem for me once upon a time and he seemed indignant that it shouldn't matter. That being said he does incredible custom work and the quality of the bag as it comes is tops. I'd consider this for the BSX as well because, love you Dino BUT, this current gig bag is like a pair of 1990's hip-hop trousers without a belt! 
Case News: I can now personally confirm that this puppy will hold and transport the Allegro. I still need to find someone to do a custom mold or just make some sort of sleeve for the neck and stuff the open remainder with some foam of some sort but this thing fits it perfectly. For the first run I put the two zippers and the bottom and left the tailpiece exposed out of the bag. The body transports in the gig bag with a soft strap of your choosing to hold the bridge down to the body with something between the two for protection. Neck and tailpiece pins come out and transport in a separate bag to be place wherever you think it's safe and the endpin did ok in the bow compartment of the gig bag. The neck did just fine with strings wound up at the headstock also with an extra long velcro cable tie. So as long as it's all secure and safe from the molded material of the case then it should be ok. It was for me at least. All comes in WELL UNDER 50 pounds and transports as a Musical Instrument under most international union agreements at this point as long as the measurements aren't completely ruled out per your airlines policies. American Airlines was fine with mine.

Just picked up a used BSX hollow body yesterday, the guy I bought it off gave me an instruction sheet with it so I did a quick adjustment to raise the string height this morning and have been messing around with the eq settings and my little GK MB150 settings. First impressions in comparison to my Eminence are mixed, wish there was the string height adjustment on the Eminence and other than that the Eminence in general I feel is a much better more solid unit. Having said that the BSX sounds okay, feels similar to the Eminence but with a "cheaper" overall impression. I bought the BSX as I couldn't find a used Eminence around to have as a backup in case something happens to the Eminence and I think the BSX will fit that task just fine.... Price was right
I haven't played the Eminence. The BSX sound great Arco. The individual pots are nice for balancing string response. As for on board EQ, I usually roll off the treble all the way...maybe boost the bass just a smidge. The volume pot was scratchy, so I sprayed the sawdust out of it and vacuumed the dust out of the cavity and body. The endpin was a little sticky, so I polished the shaft with a greenie pad. The FB is a bit stiff, and maybe I'll thin it out more from behind one of these days. Overall, I like the BSX Allegro.
Going to see if I can jury rig a foot similar to the Eminence on the end pin as I really like that feature on the Eminence.. Yes the ability to balance the string volumes is a nice feature if required, on both of the Eminence bass's I've owned it was never an issue. What I do like on the BSX is the ability to adjust string height in a matter of a couple minutes. I can see where that could come in handy on a weekend at a festival where multiple sets start wearing down the hands... For my ears the sound isn't as close to my 3/4 upright running through the amp like the Eminence but that's okay as it will be a backup axe. Overall a cool little unit, not impressed with the gig bag but once Stateside I'll buy another Eminence bag for it as the brokerage fees kill us having stuff from USA sent across the border... Don't think I would give up the Eminence for it but price wise its a good alternative.
Still using my BSX for rehearsals, strung with Spirocore Solos. No other modifications yet. Adding a bit of reverb sounds nice with arco.
Well the pickup concepts are totally different between the two basses. The BSX has individual elements under each saddle groove, so the individual pots are rather necessary. I feel you on the string height though. I'm wondering if anyone ever installed adjusters on it??? For sure there is some wiring going through there so you'd have to deal with that part of THAT in the process.

After trying the Eminences for years at festivals, borrowing from friends, etc I never quite "felt" them. Then accidentally I ran in to an Allegro at a shop in Orlando and fell in love....as a back up / EUB of course. But still. It's a pretty cool little beast.

Different strokes for different folks as I definitely prefer the Eminence over the BSX, I've been messing with the BSX now for more than a week putting in a couple of hours a day. Switch around to the Eminence and for my ears, hands and body comfort the Eminence has it beat hands down. The BSX is a cool little beast and I'm glad I bought it as a back up. I haven't played a 3/4 size bass on stage for at least 20yrs as I was sick & tired of sound guys not being able to handle it, having terrible boomy stages and also the space it took up, vehicle they require etc.. etc.. Had the BSX came along before the Eminence and I'd have played it for a few years prior to the Eminence I might have the same opinion you have. Not sure, what I do know is both work well, both sound okay and both have features that make them different and thus valuable in different venues. I have an idea on how to make a T foot for the BSX to make it stable like the Eminence, shouldn't cost too much for the pieces, then I have to weld up a foot & glue some rubber to it. That will likely go a long way to the feel I want although with the smaller body and being lighter than the Eminence its a guess at this point...
Ok...so I finally got around to trying the fit of the BSX Allegro to the SKB Compound Bow Case that I bought. So far it seems to work. Granted, it will be best to get a proper molded fit done soon but I had to see how much was possible on a dry run. I may even give it a proper travel test soon. Check the Pics below including modifications. I will say that it would be amazing if Dino would modify the Tailpiece screw insets to be brass instead of screw-on-wood. I have an electric designed this way and it works VERY well for breaking the instrument down and putting back together repeatedly. I know he has a ground wire of some sort there but perhaps there is a possible re-design for that as well. The foam in the pictures is a 2cm compressed rubber that they use for gym floors (i.e. sit-ups area). I welcome anyone's questions or input. Hopefully this provides a workable solution for anyone not wanted to travel with the proverbial Golf Club case. Oh. The SKB is Invalid Link Removed . You can find it for @$230 on Amazon as well.

Had a long velcro strap hanging around that worked perfectly to hold the bridge tight to the body. There is a permanent cable between the bridge and the electronics inside so it needs to be held here and stably.

Absolutely. It's good they're not all the same. But which BSX do you have? I'm referring to the Allegro, which has pretty much the identical width and height, and is deeper, than the eminence.

So I just got around to trying the Arco tone yesterday with an amp.
Did you find that you had to balance the strings individually DIFFERENTLY for arco than for pizz? I sure did. The D had to be set WAY lower than the others for Arco balance; then when I go to pizz it's not balanced at all. This doesn't seem like a positive and long term workable scenario. I'm wondering if there is a fix.
Also, I plugged it up through a Fishman Aura (The Orchestral model from their 2nd gen separate boxes) and it improved the arco vibe IMMENSELY. Glad I hung on to that one.

Yeah, same here. Here's a picture of my trim pots. I raised the action two weeks ago, and had to rebalance the trim pots. The G-string (arco) has always been a bit warmer sounding without the high freq content, whereas the D/A/E have more of the hi freq content. Rolling the treble control off helps with this alot.
Using my bow, I start with the D pot all the way down, then I balance in the A and E strings. Then I bring up the G pot.

Its the Allegro.... signed by Dino. BTW I did some simple mod's using Boat Top hardware and then added a solid piece of plastic with two rubber nubs on the bottom to make the T foot. Works great....... BTW like that Bow Case might have to look into that further.....

Here is a couple more pic's that show the Eminence vs the BSX side by side. Eminence is bigger overall, deeper when you include the bowed back and it is considerably heavier... The T foot seems to have settled out the rolling issue I was having with the BSX. Dug out my wireless transmitter/receivers this morning and plugged them into the BSX and the GK MB150S, works great.........no cord ! Can't do that with the Eminence as the piezo don't work with the wireless. Going to mess around with these on the BSX this weekend at festival/gig I'm filling on bass with another band....
