How might the 500W ceramic driver sound compared to the 250W neo driver for the Avatar SB112?
Would this, combined with my GK BK600 (300W), be loud enough for a 5 piece band in a 150 person venue?

Those power ratings mean nothing. They will not tell you how far you can push a speaker until it reaches its mechanical limits. IMHO the 250 watt figure is much closer to the truth. 250 watts is about the limit of power handling in a single full range 12" speaker for bass.
Is that loud enough for your needs? dont know, that depends on how the rest of your band mates manage their volume. Would it be enough for me? Not just no, hell no.
