Bend a hook in the end of the HS plate and stick some picture-rail molding up on the wall to hang it from? (in this attempting to be explanatory if you don't grok picture-rail molding picture, the upper part of the metal hook thing would be the end of the HS.) Or drill another hole in the end and hang it from a hook.

Right, so I have this weird earthing issue with the Neck PU. Doesn't effect the bridge PU.

Basically I have a slight hum. Probably hardly audible with my filtered ear plugs in, but annoying the heck out of me at home. I can make it stop by...
1. Touch the aluminium vol dial
2. Pressing a finger against the bridge hard.
3. Touching the earth sleave on the back the PU

I pulled the cover off the cavity and everything is soldered together properly. Oddly, the hum get's louder when I touch the rubber tube I'm using for a PU spring (on the treble side). It's right next to the PU output pins, but they're insulated from it with tape now. So yeah, trying to sort out what the heck is going on. :(

2. A push/switch pot to disengage the piezo from the mag PUs. There's some weird cancellation going on their with them that wasn't there with them on their own. So I've just got figure out where to buy of the said pots.

If you look up luminlay dot markers...they are basically the same as the plastic rod...but had the added benefit of glowing in the dark...which is nice.

Just come back from a 2 week, 3500 mile roadtrip to this place and back...

And no, I didn't ride a kangaroo there and back. Although there were plenty on the side of the road being eaten by wedge tail eagles (ie. roadkill).

Got back this arvo and picked up the bass tonight. It was just slightly out of tune. All six strings had dropped about an 1/8th of a step. So I got out my straight edge to see what was flexing. I did wonder if it would be the body wings. The good news is, it's the neck. It's settled a little and the action is a little higher. I'll probably put a bit more tension into the truss-rod to bring the action back down where it was. The amount of flex in the body remains the same as it was the day I set it up. So that's pretty good I reckon.

To be fair to them, how many J copies to you reckon people send them pics of?

P.s. this the second BBG feature I've had. I figure they like getting "out of the box" basses. Plenty more where that came from. ;)
