Alright, I have absolutely no experience all i know is from watching random YouTube videos.

OK, for quite some time i have been looking for a 4 String Tele styled bass with a 35" Scale.

Now i have been able to find 4 string basses with a 35 Inch scale But not any with a Tele Type style. The reason why i Want a 35" Scale is because i play drop in drop tunings. (Drop G or Drop F)
Now since i have to use such thick gauge strings to achieve that tuning i want a bigger scale. And i No longer wish to use a 5 String bass.

This is what i have drawn up of What i think the some of the measurements are going to have to be. BUT! I dont really have much of an idea of what i am doing.

Lets pretend my Bass is a proportioned Tele Bass lol. And that i have an idea of what im doing.

So if im shooting for a 35 inch scale. I have to split it in half (From nut to The bridge beginning) and that is were my 12th fret would be correct?

Which would mean i have 17.5 For each side. The twelfth to the nut and the twelfth to the beginning of the bridge?

And Im thinking Of making the Fret board 25.375. And having the Distance of the ending of the neck to The beginning of the bride be 9 5/8.

I think you would want to look into a preslotted fretboard so it gives you your length or look into the stewmac fret calculator which is available online to get your frets measured. That way you can see if you have the correct idea for length. Personally as a rule of thumb if I'm doing something that there aren't templates for I would construct or draw out the neck as I want it and put it on the body as I want it and then place the bridge so I have the correct scale length gojng on

17.5 is the distance from 12th fret to bridge saddle witness point with the saddles in the fully-towards-neck position, not to the the beginning of the bridge. Beginning of the bridge is immaterial as it depends on non-functional factors of design.

The 23-3/8 and 9-5/8 are distances for a 24th fret, not for the end of a fretboard.

The thing is, you need to know the theory behind this stuff, not just the answers to specific questions, because without knowing the concepts, there likely are a dozen other problems lurking that you wouldn't know are there. Things like that with a 35" scale neck on a tele body, the balance will be even worse than a 34" Tele body, which is bad enough.

the scale length should split between the break point on nut (front face) to the 12th fret and the break point on a string at the bridge. after all, the scale length is just that, right?
you will need to search and determine which string it is (because the saddles don't line up on the bridge in a straight line, right?). On my most recent build, I had to free hand the bridge placement, so I measured 35 inches from face of nut to the break point on the g string on the bridge. not the front edge of the bridge, but the break point on the roller. I adjusted my roller back a touch and measured the scale length to that then placed my bridge. you will want to work your way around those ballpark numbers to find out the other dimension on your bass.
