Build stopped in its tracks.. Again.

Rip, sorry about your friend, on April 20th I lost my younger brother. I think your thought about asking his wife what she would want is the best move. Then it is up to her how she wants to handle it and you are just supporting her wishes. Just so you know who I am, I went to HS with Steve Wish. I wish you the best and you are in my thoughts. Stay safe.

Well, to give closure to this thread, I spoke with my friend's wife this morning at the funeral. I didn't mention the bass other than to tell her to just get ahold of me when everything calms down. She has much more important stuff on her plate than some instrument.

Lots of love for him at the funeral. Place was packed. Some really great things said for him.

The catharsis that can come from physically doing something is amazing. I recently spent a good deal of time off work due to various things I won't get in to here. What pulled me out of it was my friends coming round and taking me out, not giving me the option of staying in and isolating myself. They'd take me to climb a mountain or go for a long trek, pressgang me in to some diy or home improvements or even just take me for a coffee.

The bass can be a salute to your friend and his family when you feel up to it. Take care of yourself.
