Build Your Own Road Case?

I just got rid of my huge Ampeg Classic head and 8x10 rig for a much smaller Aguilar set up. I put all of the cash I got from it towards new gear but didnt leave enough for road cases. I had been toying with the idea of building some and a friend offered to be my lab rat if I would build it for free. I gave it a shot and this is what i came up with. I am really pleased with it and unlike my past attempts it is very light. He didnt want recessed handles or latches but other than that Im really happy with it and I think Ill build myself some now. Has anyone else built their own road cases? Id love to see them if so!

I call it "The Matador"..........

I might be taking on this endeavor soon. I have a Fender Bassman 300 coming to me, and I really dont feel like paying $300 for a road case. My dad and I are very handy with wood, and I can get all the hardware needed online. If I end up doing this, Ill post progress stuff :)

I had gotten several quotes on the case I wanted and it was anywhere from 300-400 bucks. I understand how great they are, I still have several road cases for my other gear but I just cant afford 600 bucks in road cases that Im going to throw in and out of a trailer while Im on the road.
