Building 7 Fan Fret Basses

I am glad to see I am not the only one that has to drive a good distance to work on builds. I have to drive 25 minutes one way and now, I have to run extension cords to the shop because a utility company cut the underground power line to the shop. They said they fixed it but they did not and now, no way to make them fix it. Talk about fun, watching the lights go out at first when turning on a bandsaw and it struggling to keep going. It does stink not having my own shop at home but at least I get to build when I can. Great looking bass!

as in.. the unedited footage? we had 2-3 cameras running during the day..

possibly.. it's like.. 300 gigs of footage, so the only way i'd really be able to do it is by selling portable hard drives with it on it.. I'd consider that if people are interested though.
Maybe not all the raw footage, but maybe an edited version that was the full 24hrs, unless that's what the documentary is, in which case disregard my messages.

Here's a bunch of pics of the 4 string! now time to work on the 5's. =]

basically just gluing on fretboards and binding other fretboards all this week. making progress =] Wenge boards are being bound in wenge, to keep the edges all classy. Didn't plan on doing this originally.. but I also never planned on doing ball-end frets..and now i'm doing both.

eh, lucky stuff for the guys on the run i guess.

in other news, finally figured out how to anodize at home. should hopefully be doing a video later about it:

and ordered in a crap-tonne of highly figured Tamo ash. stuff was hard to find, had to go through a guy in japan, who went through 20 or so sources before i found this piece.. he bought it, repackaged it, and shipped it to me. It was not cheap, but it was for a build for a client. cool stuff.
