His profile says he was looking at this very thread an hour ago. Hope he’ll let us know how matters have transpired. It’s okay that he didn’t burst into full-bore production. Projects like these take time.
Unfortunately life and dreams have traveled in speed and direction much differently than I anticipated! but I'm not far off. I committed to this project about 2.5 yrs ago and have been doing much of what Bruce said... building my toolset to make this a reality AND building my small shop. I did not invest in Steves legacy for nothing.
The update following my post #8 is this:
My one man home renovations have been and are still all consuming and things are looking great around my property! I hope to finish everything this fall (including my small shop)and dig into my woodworking again. The Reno's around here are simply too much work for one man on the off ours from my day job to be doing anything but. In other words, my current passion project is building my home and shop! My passion for luthiery and fine woodworking is very much alive but I just don't have the time or space to take this on yet; although it is very much part of the plan!
Very happy to see the Delorean treatment given to an awesome brand. I've owned and played my Bug regularly for several years now, can't speak highly enough of it.
