Built my first neck through!

I always wanted one because of seeing John Taylor playing his ARIA PRO back in the early 80s. It only took 40 some years and learning a skill to build one. It is made of Bubinga, Maple and 175 year old Black Walnut. Surprisingly, it only weighs 8.5 pounds. It is strung with MTD nickels. The obvious LED fret markers, 24 cryo wide frets and the pick ups are Stew Mac. The bridge is a Hipshot which I’m not in love with. Gotoh tuners and concentric CTS pots. I made the control cavity cover out of the same walnut, and it is held on with magnets. It’s a fairly dark sounding bass guitar, but it has zingy mid range. I cannot stand active bass guitars, so it is passive. The only reason for a battery is for the LED fret position markers.

Very nice.
I loved the Aria basses of the 80s when I started playing, but never got one back then and they're silly money now, if you can find a nice one. And that will never be as good as one you built yourself.
