This looks quite amazing. Another solder-free patch cable kit, but I think it looks like the easiest to use and the most secure fastening of the cable to the plug. Especially useful I imagine if a cable goes during a gig. Could build one easily at the next break.

interesting.......i've been sick of needing to tighten my george l's every month so i've been thinking of switching to lava. i'll have to keep these in mind too.,

How's the connection different from planet waves or george l's?

The only difference I see is they claim the set screws are "pre-gauged", which I'm guessing means they only go in a certain depth (unlike George L which can be tightened to any depth).

I got the kit. really easy to use. "Pre-guaged" set screw doesn't allow you to over screw and shred the cable. I used George ls and the angle connectors would come loose in transport of my board, and that was one of the main reasons I gave these a try. You can pull like crazy on them and they don't pull apart. If you cut straight down on cable you really do get a perfect connection. the kit comes with enough to make 5 connectors. All 5 had a signal. It really took be about a minute each, not 48 seconds, but I wanted my board to look sweet. It does.

Interesting. I've had George L's for a while, then picked up a Lava Cable set when they came out - never had a problem with the Lavas, only minor problems with the George L's. My experience with regular Bullet Cables has been very good too.

What I'm really waiting for is a quality solder-free set that's cheaper than $15-ish per patch cable.

No kidding, these cable kits are way overpriced, IMO.

well you can make 5 cables roughly $16 each but they can be made any length and you can keep re-using them. I have enough noise to control the cable I found to be super quiet as opposed to cheaper stuff.
