Burny Flying V bass

I have been looking for an affordable flying V bass for awhile now. And since the Gibson reissue V's that came out a few years ago have doubled in price and are impossible to find. I've been looking for an alternative.

Before tonight I knew nothing about Burny instruments and I've certainly never played one. Does anyone have any experience with their V bass? And if so, how does it compare to the Gibson or even the epi version?

if it's made by fernandes it should be pretty darn sweet, they are a quality company for fender and gibson inspired basses, i had the cherry gc special edition gibson one and although it was very well made with hi quality materials and thunderous pickups, i just couldn't get used to the short scale (i'm pretty tall)
if you don't want to spend the cash on a gibson or an ibanez one, i think this is probably gonna be your best bet, because i don't think esp makes that shape, their gibson tribute is an rd shape

There's a Burny Flying V bass in the music shop at the mall nearest my place. I've played it several times in the store and its rock solid. A buddy of mine has a thunderbird/firebird looking Burny bass and he loves it. It was his main bass in his stoner rock band.

Burny is to Fernandes as Squier is to Fender. They are good quality mid-priced basses in Asia.

I have heard about Burny guitars for quite some time and decided to buy a FVB-65, due to my addiction to V basses. I have one GVB-90 and one Gibson reissue, but as I saw this piece up for sale I couldn't resist and chose it over an Epiphone. Now, since Fernandes refuses to answer inquiries about discontinued products and I have not found much info on this bass, I wanted to ask you about it.

The serial of my piece is 10100775 and the seller says it was made in Taiwan.

Can anyone confirm this? and where could I find more infos on Burnies? Have they produced these basses in the 70's as well, like Greco did?

Ive been wanting to one a FVB and been doing the research and yes Burnies made this in the 80’ just like greco. Since im a tall guy im looking for a Greco that are long scale.

I got a Burny 2010 and cab say that it is the smoothes of all my V's, including the Gibson 2011. BUT, ant this is a huge BUT, the pegs are poopie, wobbly as wobbly can be. The knobs and underlying electronics are acceptable. The attention to detail in craftsmaship is astonishing, being screwed only by the aspects I mentioned above. I am yet waitin for my Epi 2010 V to cross compare it to the others. As soon as it gets here I post my impressions.
Price: up to 500-600$ for an exemplar in very good condition. Can be bought for less, if you find it.
