Bus Beheading...

i don't know if that was sarcasm or not... but i don't think the should have been killed on the spot. i'd much rather see a criminal rot in jail.

and your avatar cracks me up btw.
I thought when I wrote it that it may have across as sarcastic. Sorry. I was serious... Although rotting in jail sounds good too! :)

RE: the avatar... Thanks! ;)

Some food for thought: It's obvious the man was a sick nut. It would be fair to assume the majority of us would call him a criminal. If for some reason he turned out to follow a certain religion, would many then call him a terrorist rather than a criminal.

Terrorists are criminals.

This crime doesn't seem to fit the terrorist MO, though so I doubt anyone would call the guy a terrorist no matter what his religious affiliations are.

Terrorists are criminals.

I agree, but it seems many seem to look at them differently. Because he was a white Christian, I've heard people call Timothy McVeigh a criminal, but don't necessarily consider him a terrorist. That line of thinking baffles me. :hmm: The same goes for the nut who shot up the church in TN last Sunday. He too was a white Christian. The press said it was a despicable criminal act. (who wouldn't agree?) Now let's say the man was of mid-eastern decent. I guarantee the word "criminal" would disappear and the word terror or terrorist would replace it. Again, just food for thought....

I graduated from Virginia Tech so I'm a bit cut and dry on innocent killing issues.

The murderer has given up his rights to socieity and life and spending one dollar feeding him in jail is a waste to me. With many witnesses, there is no excuse and he shouldn't be breathing.

If someone tells me that someday he may turn himself around and council children or cure cancer, my answer is I don't care, too late. The guy at VTech is dead and I sleep better knowing it. This guy should be dead too.

If you are on death row after your 1st Constitutional appeal, Good night, and I'll gladly help.
