Bus driver jailed for attack on cyclist

My sentiments exactly

And my mom has been a bus driver since before I was born...you get in touch with some crazy people driving a bus, but I think we can all agree that going into attack mode on a cyclist may be a tad overcooking it

This the thing that some bus drivers probably think about, but to actually do something like this?...Wow!

Hmmmmm, intentionally hitting a cyclist with a vehicle (let alone a bus) is attempted manslaughter in my eyes. The result of his action, best case is serious bodily harm. I guess it could be argued that by not running him over (which I thought was going to happen at first) and only bumping him that it was not the intent of the driver to kill the cyclist. Really though, the outcome was far better than it could have been, had the cyclist been knocked into a nearby pole or not bounced upon impact we are looking at murder.

Truly reprehensible behaviour (the "u" added because the story is British) and I truly hope the driver gets jailed this and that, blah blah...but am I the only one whose immediate thought was

10 points! (20 if he'd stayed on the bike)?

Am I going to hell now?
