Buster 200 head

I found a used Mesa Buster 200 head in mint condition ( it still has the mesa tags on it) now my question is is $700 a good price on this head (does anyone know what they went for new?) and is this just a lower watt single channel Bass 400? It has 6L6 tubes and is supposed to be 200w I have a Mesa Bass 400+ would it be worth it to pick this up? I'de use this more for an overdriven rock tone since I would be pushing the power tubes a bit. Thanks

I think they went for just under a grand new. The one I tried was a very good amp. Nothing extreme about the EQ but you could get a good sound. With the right speaker cabinet it'd be a nice rig.

Absolutely. I'd hold out for $600, but if I had $700 to spend on an amp, this might be it.

Remember that this thing has the Fender Tone Stack, so 2-10-2 is about as close as you're going to get to "flat." I love the Tone Stack.
