Butterfly Picks

So I started seeing around on the 'ol interwebby these strange contraptions called Butterfly Picks. Anyone ever try them? I'm not a guy who uses picks but these look interesting and I was wondering what other bassists thought of 'em...

Bought a set when I was into guitar, before I decided that Bass suited me better. Never could really get the hang of them, seemed to do much better just fingerpicking with long fingernails. Had to turn the thumb pick out to the side and never got that to work right.

That was something that just dawned on me over the weekend - you need long right hand fingernails to play tunes such as "Dust in the Wind" on Guitar, but I found that long fingernails can cause nasty harmonics on the Bass. The "meat" of the fingertip sets the initial tone, but then the fingernail hits the string and messes it all up. So, for guitar, I believe long RH fingernails to pick the strings and short LH fingernails so as not to interfere with fretting, while Bass is short/short.

Just my experience with them, and I never figured them out!...

I think I will try brass knuckles instead.
