Buyer/Trader Beware on TB !

You're right. Aproud is the seller who sold it to the guy who traded it to the guy who sold it to the guy who claims their are issues, unless I'm misunderstanding something. Owner number three in this situation is the only responsible party, IMO.

I see, yes, you're right, there were a total of four participants. I was confused. I still think it's fishy... and I agree that you can't go back "x" number of sellers expecting to undo multiple changing of hands.

Owner #2 was shown photos of the bass (from owner # 1) as being clean and pristine no pickup cover, owner 2 recieved the bass with a pickup cover added but it seemed ok to him, what he didnt know was it was hiding the mess underneath. #2 then sold it to me (#3) and I noticed all the issues. Then owner #2 accepted responsibilty and refunded me.

A single dubious story isn't enough evidence for me to destroy someone's reputation. I'd also have very carefully inspected the item long before it was in my possession for five weeks.
Unless it happened to you.... nothing fishy about anything here. You think Ive got nothing else to do other than this? Its the principal that matters.

Here's why.....in 5 weeks and two owners, I have no idea how the bass was handled. You clearly didn't notice the any issues with this bass, as you sold it to someone else. Assuming I wasn't aware of the issues when I sold the bass, I have no way of knowing who or what caused those issues.

Did you leave positive feedback then try to change it 5 weeks later??

No, because he was supposed to include $100 in the case and didn't. He claimed he didn't have paypal which is what I had requested. I didn't make a big deal of it because my initial impression of the bass was favorable and I was in a pink cloud at the time. Also I was very busy with work so I played it at a rehearsal, realized I still needed some sort of P5 for my country project and kept it in it's case until I decided to sell it after picking up what I'm using, now. Nordstrand PJ5 ! Love it !

I once bought a used bass from guitar center. It was described as in good working order. The neck was warped and the truss maxed out. I returned the bass to guitar center. Should guitar center get their money back from the person who sold them the bass?
Look dude, session started dialog with the person he bought it from as soon as I made him aware of what was up.

You should have pursued the case issue, but that is seperate from the "undisclosed issues"

Let me see if I have this straight.

Owner #1 = @aproud1. The first pictures in the OP are his. He traded the bass around November 16, 2015 (TRADED - Carvin SB5001, Light and Lovely).

Owner #2 = @Seabassman84. He traded the bass around 3/17 to @Session1969. It's not clear to me from the OP whether @Seabassman84 sent his own pictures to @Session1969 or whether the pictures he sent were from the prior sale by @aproud1.

Owner #3 = @Session1969, who received the bass from @Seabassman84 with a chrome pickup cover not shown in any of the photos. @Session1969 put the bass up for sale on April 3, 2016 (SOLD - Carvin SB5001), apparently using @aproud1's photos and apparently without noticing additional drill holes in the pickguard, a warp in the neck, or a loose truss rod. Session1969's for sale thread does not show or mention the added chrome pickup cover.

Owner #4 = @JaredBT, who received it from @Session1969 and took the second picture in the OP.

Is that about right?
